|Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Dyme-A-Duzin is a musical prodigy who was singing in church choirs as early as 9 years old, and comes from a vibrant family lineage of natural performers. Dyme-A-Duzin’s Grandmother was a backup singer for the Isley Brothers and his Mother, a singer in the gospel group, Rizn. That soulfulness and almost tangible spirituality can be heard in his music. Another major influence is his career was his mentor, Q the Prophet, a gospel MC who actually taught him song structure and gave him his MC name. "Rappers come a dime a dozen” and I’m striving to be one of the best entertainers of my time” Dyme-A-Duzin stated. Dyme-A-Duzin has achieved that goal and Although he's only 24 he's logged more studio time than a lot of artist twice his age and he's released numerous songs with some of hip hop's biggest and brightest. Named one of the “10 New NY Rappers To Watch Out For" by Complex Magazine, Dyme-A-Duzin is fast becoming the voice of his generation.
Already making a name for himself, Dyme got his first record deal when his solo project, 20=X, caught the ear of Dante Ross. One of the producers that contributed multiple tracks to 20=X, Plain Pat gave Dyme-A-Duzin's demo to Dante Ross. Ross, a legendary music executive and producer, who is one of the key figures in creating the golden age of hip hop has signed and worked with De La Soul, Busta Rhymes, and Latifah. Ross heard those same previews of greatness in Dyme-A-Duzin’s rhymes. He is the perfect bridge between classic rap music and the sound of a new millennium.
No matter if he’s performing with a band, or as the lead singer of the Artist's Collective, Phony Ppl or collaborating with other artists, Joey BadA$$ or Casey Veggies, Dyme-A-Duzin is the one! He has amassed over 100 high profile performances across the country (including the Afropunk Festival, Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival, SOB's, SXSW, etc) and International stages (London, Toronto.)

He's trended on Twitter with over 25.1 K followers, Instagram, over four thousand followers, Youtube views at over 100K, and his Facebook posts consistently receives over 10 thousand "Likes.” As a solo artist he’s opened for musical royalty, Erykah Badu,Talib Kweli and the Roots his single, “New Brooklyn” premiered on Jay Z’s Life+Times site and got immediate airplay in his hometown on Hot 97 with Peter Rosenberg. His lyrics are indescribably fresh and vibrant while his melodies soar and flow with a spiritual fervor. Dyme-A-Duzin is independently releasing his current project entitled “Crown Fried”. He has released his first two single off of the project and launched the first Official Music Video entitled “That Chicken” which can now be view in the BET JAMS rotation.
