Jarrod Milton is an American Artist. Born and raised in Atlanta, GA. Jarrod developed his joy for singing in the famed Ebenezer Baptist Church (Martin Luther King Jr.s Church) choir. Though his voice was honed in the choir the themes of his music are far less pious. He has been writing songs for close to 5 years, but often scared to share his creations because of their personal nature. It is clear who Jarrod is when you listen to his music, which draws its strength in its honesty. He pairs vivid songwriting with his hauntingly vulnerable voice. The two combine for a music that will leave a lasting effect on the listener. In Jarrod’s voice you you will not only hear his emotions, but feel them yourself.
Jarrod now 22, has begun to grow into his own as a person and as an artist. This collection of songs is his most realized and most personal to date. Since moving back to his home town of Atlanta, GA (after a brief stint in NYC) Jarrod has found confidence in his art. The quirky underground scene of Atlanta has only emboldened Jarrod to be more of who he always was, giving him the confidence to spread his most personal art to date. A partnership spawned from playing shows in the hot and damp basements and warehouses of Atlanta is what made Jarrod’s most recent work possible. With the help of Oliver Blue, Jarrod has created a short but dense album, that will challenge you in ways that music should. Jarrod and Oliver will be the first to sing the praises of any and all of Atlanta’s rising artists, but feel that it is important to show the side of Atlanta that they represent.
