The Britanys

Since releasing their first tape ‘A Night With The Britanys’ with Lolipop Records, in the Fall of 2015, The Britanys, made up of Lucas Long, Steele Kratt, Jake Williams & Gabe Schulman, have played with the likes of Hinds, Public Access TV, Shamir, and Yak.

The Boys came off of their first CMJ, in 2015, where NME Magazine named them one of the best bands of the week. Cited as one of the top 10 bands from New York to look out for in 2016, by the New York Observer, The Britanys have just finished work with producer Gordon Raphael (The Strokes/ Regina Spektor) on a new single "Get My" which is premiering June 7th via Consequence of Sound.

The band is teaming up with Gordon Raphael again in the beginning of July to record an EP, which is looking to be released in October 2016. The band and Raphael were introduced by chance via email through Artistas Sean Unidos journalist Nicholas Ellis that relayed Gordon was a fan of The Britanys.

“We thought he [journalist Nicholas Ellis] was fucking with us at first, when he gave us Gordons email. However, figured we’d give it a try and he ended up responding saying that he would be interested in working with us. It was one of those childhood dreams come true moments” says Lucas Long, guitarist and singer of The Britanys.
Having the track already recorded in their home studio in Brooklyn, the band sent Gordon the individual tracks. Not knowing how it was going to work or turn out, The Britanys were happily surprised when they got back the first version of the mix.
